ROUNDWOOD TIMBER FRAMES- ECO BUILDINGS FOR THE MODERN WORLD
We provide sustainable eco buildings and frameworks using natural roundwood timber, for anyone who wants to build in a low impact way, from self builders and community groups to eco-tourism providers.
We help deliver affordable housing solutions that are aesthetically pleasing and harmonious with nature, and our frames conform to building standards and regulations. All frames are constructed from sustainably managed woodlands in Wales using traditional hand tools and techniques with Larch or Douglas Fir.
They design and build beautiful, unique structures which are the ‘real deal’ for sustainability. The result is a building full of character and warmth, in tune with it’s surrounding environment, that stands as a shining example of what can be achieved using locally sourced timber.
James KendallBy creating low impact buildings which don’t include any concrete we’re able to forge a harmonious relationship between the land and the building. Living or working in a space like this helps to create a connection with nature and this can improve our wellbeing dramatically.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT US
We’re a workers co-operative, with all of the profits being reinvested back into the company to help more people realize their dream of creating a natural roundwood building.
Each member of the team has a unique set of skills, expertise, and design perspective, and together we’re able to tackle all manner of projects from small compost toilets, to large community centres.
We completely believe in the work that we do, and believe that creating environmentally sustainable building solutions plays an important role in creating a better future.
All our practices and processes are as low impact as possible as we have a strong passion for building great buildings which leave little impact on the earth.
We build frames that are structurally engineered to conform with building regulations, and can create designs for any shape you have in mind. Much of the work we do is in bio-diverse landscapes and off grid locations, so we’re used to overcoming the practical challenges involved with designing and building in these environments, and always thrive on taking on a new challenge.
